PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The Metropolis of Parkersburg and the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council have prolonged the deadline for Small Enterprise Aid Fund purposes to March 31, 2021.
To be eligible, companies should:
• Be positioned within the company limits of the Metropolis of Parkersburg.
• Have been in enterprise for at the least one 12 months (since March 1, 2019). • Have been in good standing with relevant Metropolis charges as of December 31, 2019.
• Be a low- to moderate-income (LMI) enterprise proprietor and/or a enterprise that employs (or beforehand employed) at the least 51% LMI staff.
• Make use of ≤ 25 Full Time Equal (FTE) Low- to Reasonable- Earnings (LMI) Staff.
In Could 2020, town acquired a particular allocation of Group Growth Block Grant funding from the U.S. Division of Housing and City Growth (CARES ACT). The intention was to assist native small companies and staff through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parkersburg’s administration and metropolis council established a Small Enterprise Aid Fund Program within the quantity of $300,000, to offer short-term working capital help for companies to retain and/or create jobs for low- to moderate- revenue staff adversely impacted by the pandemic.
For the reason that preliminary utility deadline in October 2020, 16 small companies locally have been and/or are within the strategy of being awarded funds via the Small Enterprise Aid Program.
